Abstract

The current research revolves around employing Arabic calligraphy aesthetically to give more beauty and splendor to the woodworks, as the use of Arabic calligraphy as a plastic element has become one of the fertile fields from which the artist may draw inspiration for his creativity and innovations.

Arabic calligraphy is a plastic art that has its own elements and components through which new contemporary plastic solutions can be developed in the implementation of wooden crafts, and the writing can be part of the plastic painting or the letters in the wooden crafts are elements that are not related to the content, meaning that the letters may be forms It is complementary to the wooden crafts, and the calligraphy is considered one of the most important elements of the composition due to its complete characteristic that allows it to express movement and mass. It also draws attention to an important aspect in the process of employing the Arabic letter in a modern visual achievement.
