Abstract

The study aimed to identify the effectiveness of the media education course to develop the cognitive achievement and the attitude towards the course for faculty of specific education students tanta university. The researcher used the semi - experimental method, The tools of the study were the cognitive achievement test for the media education course (prepared by the researcher) and the measure of attitude towards the course (prepared by the researcher) , The study was applied on a sample included (40) students from first-level students in the department of educational media, faculty of specific education, tanta university, in the first semester for the academic year (2022/2023). They were distributed into two groups, one of which was an experimental group that studied the media education course, and the other was a control group that had not previously studied the media education course, the strength of each of them was (20) students, and the study was applied for a period of (12) weeks, each included one educational session per week, Its duration is (120) minutes, according to the study schedule of the educational media department, and the results showed the effectiveness of the media education course to develop cognitive achievement and the attitude towards the course for the students of the experimental study.
