Abstract

Teaching methods are the method that the teacher sets for himself to follow in his footsteps in explaining his material and contribute greatly to the achievement of the educational process, as it determines the methods to be followed and the activities to be performed,

It is the era in which teaching methods crystallized until signs of correcting these views appeared at the end of the nineteenth century and the beginning of the twentieth century, Many schools emerged from which many authors emerged, such as the German school and the Russian school, and the great diversity in the way and style of schools in the twentieth century led to the possibility of benefiting students',

and the piano teacher will always be searching for the most appropriate teaching methods that achieve the best results for learners, especially adult beginners in the age group (17-18) years. It is the age group for beginners in colleges and specialized institutes, there are many teaching methods that the teacher can choose one of them based on the age of the students and how quickly they learn.

One of these methods is Anne Mathilde Bilbro’s method for teaching the novice student to perform on the piano, which will be addressed in the current research because of its many skills and performance techniques that Help the novice student improve performance on the piano.
