Social Networks and Their Relationship to Development of knitting Techniques skills and Technological Awareness among Home Economics Female Students in the Light of Corona Pandemic

Abstract

Social networks are varied to meet the needs and desires of their users, which allow sharing files and images, exchanging video clips, creating blogs, exchanging messages, and conducting instant conversations with each other. They also help in developing students' abilities and skills through feedback on academic content which paves the way for students to continue their educational process with high efficiency in the light of Corona pandemic age. WhatsApp is one of these networks which is mostly widespread because it is closely linked to the mobile phone. Therefore, the research aimed at recognizing the effectiveness of social networks in acquiring home economics female students with the skills of knitting techniques through social networking and measuring the level of technological awareness. The research was applied to a group of female students in the first year at the department of Home Economics. This group consists of (40) female students from the Faculty of Specific Education, Minia University. The results showed that using social networks had a significant and effective impact on home economics students for achieving a high level of mastery of the skills of knitting techniques appropriately, and the need for university students to acquire the technological awareness to keep pace with the changes and developments of the age in order to ensure the scientific and practical efficiency in the use of technology and the investment of its recent means and tools to achieve results that are compatible and related to the requirements of the current era.
