The effect of the different style of displaying augmented reality technology on the achievement and cognitive load of the hearing impaired students

Abstract

The research aims to determine the most appropriate style of display in the environment of augmented reality technology and to measure the effectiveness of the environment of augmented reality technology, in terms of its effect on the achievement side and cognitive load. Divided into two experimental groups of (15) students for each group, who study the subject of nature and life sciences.

The researcher used the analytical descriptive approach and the experimental approach to validate the research hypotheses and answer his questions. The current research also adopted the experimental design based on two experimental groups. The experimental processing materials consist of a learning environment designed with augmented reality technology. The researcher also prepared and designed measurement tools consisting of an achievement test Cognitive load scale for hearing impaired students.

The results showed the effectiveness of the separate display mode accompanied by a sign language interpreter within the environment of augmented reality technology, which must be taken into account when building and designing educational programs provided to students with hearing impairments.
