Hope, gratitude and their relationship to Academic optimism among the students of the Faculty of Home Economics (the first group of the tablet application system in the secondary school)

Abstract

This research aims to study the relationship between hope, gratitude and Academic optimism among the students of the Faculty of Home Economics (the first group of the tablet application system in the secondary school), according to a set of variables and to verify the possibility of predicting academic optimism in light of hope and gratitude among the students of the Faculty of Home Economics (the first group of the tablet application system in the secondary school).

The research tools included: the primary data form, hope questionnaire, gratitude questionnaire, academic optimism questionnaire. The research was applied to a sample of (1011) students of the first year at the Faculty of Home Economics (the first group of the tablet application system in the secondary school), Menoufia University, in the second semester of the academic year (2021-2022).

Some of the research results are as follows:

- There is a positive, statistically significant correlation between the scores of the sample members in the hope questionnaire and their scores in the academic optimism questionnaire, and there is a positive correlation between their scores in the gratitude questionnaire and their scores in the academic optimism questionnaire.

- Hope and gratitude contribute to predicting Academic optimism
