The effect of using augmented reality applications in developing some of the playing skills of piano students and their attitudes towards it

Abstract

The aim of the research is to Identify the effect of using augmented reality applications in developing some of the playing skills of piano students and their attitudes towards it, The research used the quasi-experimental approach based on the experimental design with one experimental group (before / after), The research sample consisted of (5) students from the music education course at the Faculty of Specific Education, Matrouh University, The research used two tools: a note card for playing the piano skills, and a scale of attitudes towards the use of augmented reality applications in teaching piano, The search results found: There are statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students who studied using (augmented reality) in the pre and post application of the observation card of the practical performance of piano skills in favor of the post application, As well as the presence of statistically significant differences at the significance level (0.05) between the mean scores of the experimental group students who were taught using (augmented reality) in the pre and post application. Attitudes towards using augmented reality in piano teaching in favor of the post application, the research recommended the need to use augmented reality technology in teaching piano in particular and music education in general.
