The interaction between learning style and mental capacity in the widespread learning course and its relationship to technology phobia among educational technology students

Abstract

This study aimed to investigate the level of technological phobia among educational technology students when they use the widespread learning course as a learning environment, and to reveal the effect of the interaction between the learning style and mental capacity with these courses in that, and the study sample consisted of (80) students from the first year students in the Department of Technology Education, Faculty of Specific Education, Minia University. A quasi-experimental design with four groups was used according to mental capacity (high/low) and learning style (cooperative/competitive), which depends on the dimensional application of the dependent variable. Education Technology at Minia University.

The results showed the superiority of students with high mental capacity using the cooperative learning method over their counterparts from other groups in the widespread learning course, and the results showed a positive significant correlation between learning style, mental capacity and technology phobia. The level of social interaction in the widespread learning course had an effect on reducing the level of technology phobia in the study groups.
