Benefiting from the aesthetics of the Asyut kilim decorations as a source of inspiration for tourist vest

TThe research is an attempt to revive the Asyutian heritage represented in kilim decorations through a piece of tourist clothing (tourist vest) inspired by kilim motifs. They can be gifted as tourist souvenirs to visitors as a kind of tourism marketing, girls can also wear it as a kind of pride for their authentic folk heritage and give them a unique, distinctive and unconventional design for the women's vest that is characterized by modernity and fashion .The research aims to propose a group of designs inspired by the decorations of the Asyut kilim that are suitable for the decoration of a tourist vest in two styles of thermal transfer printing and embroidery.The research importance is to shedding light on the expressive and plastic values of the Asyut kilim decorations and attempt to combine the techniques of heat transfer and embroidery in the decoration.
Research Methodology: Descriptive approach in describing and analyzing the features and characteristics of the Asyut kilim motifs and the experimental method through the implementation of selections of designs that met the highest acceptance by the specialists was used. Research tools, a questionnaire to know the opinions of specialists on the proposed designs and the implemented pieces. The most important research findings, the existence of statistically significant differences between the proposed designs and executed pieces. The general percentage of acceptance ranged from100% to90% and from 0.99 to 0.72 for the proposed and executed pieces according to the opinions of the specialized professors.
