The role of Egyptian embasses Facebook page in preserving cultural identity:an analytical study

Abstract

The study aimed to identify the role of the Egyptian embassies’ Facebook pages in preserving cultural identity, by identifying the most Facebook pages of the Egyptian embassies in order to preserve cultural identity, and the extent to which the public used these pages for them, and this study belongs to the field of descriptive studies, and this The study was based on the media survey and comparative approach, and the content analysis tool was applied to a deliberate sample of the Egyptian embassies’ Facebook pages, and some results indicated that:

The presence of an index or guide for embassy services in the total sample of the study indicates that it is the dominant characteristic in all the study sample, and this is one of the most important reasons for choosing the study sample, as the guide shows the contents of the page and the most important services available on it, which increases the turnout on these pages

The image is one of the most useful tools that communicate information and the content of the page, and a message and narrative and the values of the embassy are also available on the page, and this is also one of the reasons for choosing the study sample pages, as the embassy’s vision shows the overall and comprehensive content of the page’s goals and values,
