Abstract

The artist "Edward Hopper" was interested in the form as an expressive entity in itself, because it carries meaningful symbols, and not just references to things, events and psychological emotions of the artist, This means that his artistic expression is necessarily a symbolic language that extends his knowledge beyond real experience, with multiple threads intertwined in the composition of imagination, painting, perception and the ingenuity of technical implementation at the same time. and that language is formed in the form of the “shape” of the artwork, and that form is based on elementary forms, the elements that Hopper inspired in the beginning, to transform it after passing it seems like the inner lab into special vocabulary, related to the amount of balance that the artist achieves between mental awareness and feeling Esotericism, aesthetic experience, the specificity of performance technology, and the form in the works of the artist "Hopper" is an attempt to embody a visual subject parallel to many of the ideas and visions that are stored in the artist's mind, based on his continuous dialogue, with the visible nature on the one hand, and the interventions of his mental activity, his perceptions and his inner dreams on the other side. The content has no value in the artwork except because the form organizes and refines it, This is because form and content depend on each other, and it is not possible to understand either of them, except within the unified entity that is his artwork.
