Abstract

The aim of the research is to improve Mindfulness and develop deep understanding of primary school students through the teaching of home economics using the combination between thinkers keys strategies and the applications of the five minds theory , For this purpose, the most important foundations on which the teaching treatment is based on the combination between the thinkers keys strategies and the applications of the five minds theory have been identified, And then the educational materials for the unit under trial "Your Health is a Trust" were prepared and included (Teacher's Guide - Student's Activity Booklet), The research tools included the Mindfulness Scale, the Deep understanding Test; In its applied aspect, the research followed the quasi-experimental approach through the experimental design with two groups (control/experimental), The basic research sample consisted of (121) female students of the sixth grade of primary school, they were divided into (63) in the control group studying home economics in the usual traditional way, and (58) in the experimental group,, The results indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental and control group students in favor of the experimental group in the two post applications of each of the Mindfulness scale and the deep understanding test, it also indicated that there was a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the experimental group students in the pre and post applications of each of the Mindfulness scale and the deep understanding test in favor of the post application
