Abstract

This research is concerned with the study of the artistic and expressive features that characterized the constructivist school, then it touched upon the study of some structural metal works and how the characteristics of the constructivist school affected the shape and design of those works , Then the research dealt with some constructive works and described and analyzed them and the raw materials used in them to extract the characteristics of the constructivist school. As a result of this research, most of the formulations of metal works in the constructivist art focused on the element of movement within the artwork to give the work a real dimension and emphasized the temporal and spatial dimension. And the constructivist art took the design from the engineering character through the use of overlapping and intertwined geometric shapes and the connection between them through color, size, shape and multiple levels to create a distinct, non-traditional design characterized by uniqueness and change and influenced by modern art schools such as the cubism trend.
