Social websites and their relationship to making students with special needs aware of the effects of disasters and crises (Covid-19 as a model)

Abstract

The aim of the research is to measure the impact of a social and awareness website in raising awareness of the effects of disasters and crises (Covid-19 as a model). The sample of the research was determined in a group of students with special needs consisting of (8) students of the Diploma of Office Applications and Computer Maintenance for the third level deaf category, at the Community faculty of Al-Kharj, Prince Sattam bin Abdulaziz University, in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia. To verify the objectives of the research, the researchers used the descriptive approach to treat the theoretical side and the quasi-experimental approach to apply the experimental material to the research, and prepared a cognitive test to measure the acquisition of students with special needs awareness of the effects of disasters and crises (Covid-19 as a model). The results showed an impact of the social awareness website in making the students of the research group aware of the effects of disasters and crises (Covid-19 as a model), and the research presented a set of recommendations and proposed research.
