Awareness of interactive furniture and its relationship to the quality of family care for a sample of the elderly

Abstract

The current research aimed to study the relationship between awareness of interactive furniture and its dimensions (the dimension of information and knowledge about interactive furniture, the dimension of employing “practices about” interactive furniture, the dimension of attitudes towards interactive furniture ), among a sample of the elderly and the quality of family care provided to them (social care - physical care - emotional care), studying the differences in awareness of interactive furniture among a sample of the elderly and the quality of family care according to the variables (place of residence - housing area - age - type of work - number of Family members - the educational level of the elderly person - the monthly income of the family), the research used the descriptive analytical method, and the research sample included 214 elderly people in both urban and rural areas (Kafr El-Sheikh - Dakahlia) from different social and economic levels and they were chosen in a deliberate and purposeful manner, and the most important results were concluded To: There is a positive, statistically significant correlation at the 0.01 level of significance between the total dimensions of awareness of interactive furniture as a whole and each of the social care axis,
