A comparative study for methods of building basic patterns of children's clothes and using them in the industry

Abstract

the aim of this research is to identify the Comparison between five methods of making and fitting the basic pattern of girl's dress, namely (J Profily- Winfred Aldrich - Natalie Bray - Helen Armstrong - Fernando Burgo) and find the best way to benefit from it in the garment industry, and find the best way in tearms of control and convenience which lead to aproduct of the heighest the best method in terms of control, which leads to a product of the highest quality fitting. It also aims to identify the problems of adjusting the girl's dress to the body in order to reach the appropriate adjustment. The research followed the descriptive method. And measuring the opinions of specialists and manufacturers towards the methods in question to arrive at the best method in terms of tuning for the baby girl’s dress model. The research sample consisted of a group of (15) specialists. And a group of manufacturers of ready-made clothes and their number was (10). And the opinions of specialists and manufacturers were measured through the research tool, which is a scale to estimate model adjustment to evaluate the girl's dress by the five methods in question. The results showed a comparison of the five methods in terms of fitting Winifred aldrech method was superior then followed by Profily method, then Burge, then Armstrong and Natalie, and then they followed in four sizes, while in only one size the Burgo method was ahead of the Profily method.
