Abstract

Research problem:
What is the issue discussed by Naguib Mahfouz in his novel "Al-Karnak", and what are the characteristics of the artistic construction in this novel?.
research importance:
- The author of the novel, Naguib Mahfouz, is a great international writer, and the study of his works benefits all those interested in cultural affairs, especially researchers and workers in the literary field.
- Studying this novel gives us a picture of some features of Egyptian society and its relationship to the ruling authority in the period after the July 23 revolution.
