Benefit from Embroidery and Crochet Techniques to Enrich Quality of Modern Women's Jacket

Abstract

The current research aims to introduce suggested designs inspired by motifs of Pharaonic art by using merging techniques between Embroidery and Crochet styles. That technique enriches aesthetic and functional values for Women Jacket designs while emphasising the Egyptian identity in a modern form. It also evaluates acceptance of professionals, consumers, and retailers. In its quest to fulfil its main objectives, the research followed a descriptive and empirical approaches. That included preparation of “5” units that are inspired by Pharaonic motifs. These units were utilized and repeated the design ideas for “15” Women Jacket designs. Using opinion surveys, these designs were evaluated by Specialized professors, consumers, and retailers. After evaluating the proposed designs and statistically evaluating the data, it was found successful to use the newly proposed units that uses the merging technique between Embroidery and Crochet in enriching the values of attractiveness and practicality for Women’s Jacket designs while emphasising the Egyptian identity in light of the surveyed teams while ensuring bases for their opinions. It was found that jacket “2” has the best design in utilizing the newly used units, according to surveyed opinions, with a relative weight of(98.67) followed by jackets(3 and 11) with relative weight of(96.00). Jackets(10 and 12) followed in ranking with relative weight of(95.80). Jacket(2) with the highest relative ranking was implemented. Newly proposed units were implemented using Crochet
