The effectiveness of a program based on educational theater in developing media literacy skills for students of educational media

Abstract

- The research aimed at ascertaining the effectiveness of a program based upon the educational theater on developing skills of information education for first graders in faculty of specific education – Minia university through measuring the effect of the program on developing skills of information education, For first graders. Semi experimental research was conducted on a random sample of (30) items of male and female students from the first grade students in the information section –Minia university. The researcher relied upon the instruments (the achievement test and skills list). The study found several findings, the most important ones are: There are a statistical significant difference at level of (0.01) between the experimental group students (the research sample) in their mean scores in the pre- post applications for the information education skills on behalf of the post application where "t" value was (5.02). Moreover, there are non-statistical significant differences between male and female experimental sample individuals in their mean scores of the post application for the achievement test. It was ascertained that there were statistically significant differences between male and female experimental sample individuals in their mean scores in the post application for information education skills on behalf of females.
