The effectiveness of a program to Employing the project-based learning strategy in developing mandala crochet skills, visual thinking, and the degree of satisfaction of home economics students

Abstract

The problem is that the course (graduation project), which is taught to the students of the fourth, is presented in a traditional way- method The lecture or the practical statement, importance: encourage the integration of crochet art with contemporary arts to implement many pieces of art that characterized by functional aspects, directing the attention of those in charge of Egyptian universities to the importance of learners’ acquisition of project learning skills as courses for handicrafts , clothing and textile projects, and the research followed the descriptive approach. Analytical study : the experimental method - the quasi-experimental design with the control and experimental groups, Research tools, program arbitration questionnaire, skill test, observation card, a scale of visual thinking, and a questionnaire to measure female students’ satisfaction towards the program and the implemented products, results:There is a statistically significant difference between the mean scores of the students of the two research groups in the post-application of observation card of the students' performance of the mandala crochet skills for the sub-skills, for the card as a whole in favor of the experimental group with the largest arithmetic mean.
, between the average scores of the students of the experimental group in the two applicationsr, for the observation card, the students’ performance of the mandala crochet, and for the card as a whole in favor of the post- and, between the students of the two research groups in the dimension of the visual thinking scale in favor of the experimental group.
