The effectiveness of hypermedia technology in learning skills of the course "Threads and Textile Structures" in light of the Corona pandemic

Abstract

The Corona pandemic imposed a new reality on all fields, including university education, and many universities began to move towards distance education as a lifeline to protect students and professors from the pandemic while maintaining the continuity of education, whereas the sudden shift can affect the level of mastery of female students for some practical applications of textile and clothing courses, including skills associated with the course (threads and textile structures); Based on the ability of modern technology to contribute to confronting the Corona pandemic through the use of modern techniques that help female students learn self-learning, this research aims to study the effectiveness of the use of hypermedia technology at the level of knowledge achievement and skill performance to teach female students the skills of the course "threads and textile structures " under the Corona pandemic.
The research sample consisted of (26) students, and the research tools were represented in (cognitive learning test - skill test - an estimate measure - survey of female students), and the results of the research have shown that there are statistically significant differences for the test (achievement and skill) in favor of the remote application, which confirms the effectiveness of hypermedia technology in the learning of female students The skills of the rapporteur (threads and textile structures), as the opinions of the students came positive towards learning the skills of the course under the Corona pandemic using the proposed software.
