Marital compatibility of husband in the mixed marriage frame of foreign woman and its relation to family cultural conflict of sons

Abstract

The Research aimed to study marital compatibility of husband in the mixed marriage frame of foreign woman and its relation to family cultural conflict of sons.The research used descriptive analytical method. The sample of this research including (110) Egyptian husbands married to non-Arabic speaking foreign women from a developed country who is not of his culture, nationality, and ethnic origin residing in Egypt, and (110) sons at university stage from 18 to 21 years residing in Egypt From Cairo, Giza, Alexandria, Sharm El Sheikh & Hurghada governorates, where applicated through electronic questionnaire by social media sites and applications via the Internet. The sample was selected in intentionally purposed way. The tools of this study included general data form for husbands, sons and their families, marital compatibility of husband in the mixed marriage frame questionnaire and family cultural conflict of sons questionnaire. The results revealed that there was positive correlation between marital compatibility of husband in the mixed marriage frame of foreign woman and family cultural conflict of sons. The independent variables (marriage years and wives' educational level) affected on marital compatibility of husband in the mixed marriage frame of foreign woman by 18.0%. The independent variable monthly income affected on cultural family conflict of sons by 9.0%
