The Effectiveness of a counseling program to educate children using the strategies of confronting cyberbullying and its impact on their psychological and social harmony

Abstract

The current research aims to reveal the effectiveness of the application of a counseling program to educate children about the use of strategies to confront cyberbullying with its four axes (avoidance strategy, defensive strategy, social and psychological support strategy, technological confrontation strategy) and its impact on their psychological and social compatibility in its dimensions (psychological adjustment, social adjustment). The basic research sample consisted of (232) children, and the experimental study sample consisted of (33) children from the lower spring of the same basic research sample and with the same conditions of low awareness using strategies to confront cyberbullying and psychological and social adjustment. Children in primary schools in Cairo governorate, with different social and economic levels. The general data form, the children’s awareness questionnaire using strategies to confront electronic bullying, the psychological and social adjustment questionnaire, a counseling program for children using strategies to confront electronic bullying, the research used the descriptive analytical approach and the semi-experimental approach
