The effectiveness of using interactive video in learning clothing manufacturing techniques

Abstract

The research aimed to prepare electronic units to gain information and skills for learning the technique of implementing "the shirt collar" using interactive video, and measure its effectiveness on the skill performance of students, and measuring the students’ attitudes towards this effectiveness, this program contains many screens, images , links, and educational recorded videos .in addition the ability of display control by each student, it also gives the opportunity to continue learning. To achieve the aim of this research; we applied The Skill Test before and after the experiment, and The Observation Card and The Grade Scale were used to measure the required skills, also measuring the tendency towards using the program, and The Note Card for the students’ performance of the skills of cutting and implementing the shirt collar. The number of the sample was (60) students from the first year, the experiment 'duration through (the second semester).
The results showed the high level of cognitive achievement and skill performance of the experimental group which using interactive video in the implementation of the shirt collar, and there were statistically significant differences at the level (0.01) between the average scores of the students for the two groups "control and experimental " in favor of the experimental. There are positive students' attitudes towards learning the basics of designing and the implementation of clothes .
