Abstract

The objectives of the study were to identify the nature of the relationship between the use of means of communication technology in its three axes (mobile phone - the Internet - satellite channels), and between religious and social behavior in its three dimensions (worship and values - transactions - public morals).
The current study followed the descriptive and analytical approach, whereby a questionnaire was prepared and codified on the use of means of communication technology, and a questionnaire on religious and social behavior, and the questionnaire was applied to a sample of university students chosen in a random and purposive manner made up of 763 female students from public universities (Menoufia, Tanta, Banha and Kafr El-Sheikh), especially (Sharif University in Kafr El-Sheikh, and Sixth of October University), and Al-Azhar University in (Tanta - Nasr City) residing in the countryside and urban areas of various social and economic levels.
The results showed the existence of a positive statistically significant correlation at a significance level (0.01) between the use of means of communication technology as a whole, and religious and social behavior as a whole.
The study presented a set of recommendations, the most important of which was holding training courses for university students by public service centers in universities on the use of means of communication technology and the positive and negative effects thereof,
