A Training Program to Develop the Skills of Integrating Hand Loom Weaving with Woven Fabrics to Enrich the Outerwear among Home Economics Students

Abstract

ABSTRACT
Training is an organized and continuous process that aims to change for the better or develop an individual’s knowledge, abilities, skills, ideas and behaviors in order to meet future needs and achieve success, as the development of any skill depends primarily on training. In addition, training is a system of planned learning that in turn help trainees obtain knowledge and develop the skills that they will apply in their field of work, especially the field of home economics, since it contains many skills that students must be trained in before joining the labor market.
The aim of the current research was to develop the skills of integrating hand loom weaving with woven fabrics to enrich the outerwear among home economics students through a training program. The research sample consisted of (27) fourth- year students enrolled in Home Economics Department, at the Faculty of Specific Education, Minia University. The research instruments included (a training program, an achievement test, a skill test, an observation sheet, a product evaluation scale).
