The family dialogue and its relationship to cyber bullying among adolescents

Abstract

The current research aims to identify the nature of the relationship between the family dialogue and its relationship to cyber bullying among adolescents -the research sample- by its three axes (emotional cyber bullying - physical cyber bullying - verbal cyber bullying), and some socio-economic variables for the adolescent and his family (the adolescent's age - the number of family members – Family income - Father’s Education - Mother’s Education).
The results showed that there is a statistically significant adverse correlation between the family dialogue and cyber bullying in adolescents at the level of 0.01, and it also showed that there is no statistically significant correlation between the adolescent age, the number of family members, the financial income of the family and of the family dialogue and cyber bullying with its axes (emotional- physical - verbal), also showed the absence of statistically significant differences between adolescents in the family dialogue and cyber bullying depending on the gender, place of residence, school grade and mother's work, also showed there is statistically significant variation between the sample research of the adolescents in the family dialogue according to the number of family members at the level of significance of 0.05 in favor of the family number of 4-5 members, also there is a statistically significant variation among the research sample of the adolescents in the family dialogue according to the parents educational level at the level of significance of 0.05 in favor of the educational level: Postgraduate studies .
