Abstract

The current research seeks to identify the level of both "a sense of environmental responsibility" and "green consumption behavior" in a random sample of 313 students of "Design and Applied Arts Faculty" at Taif University, from the scientific departments (Fashion and Textile Design, Design Graphic, interior design, arts). The research also aimed to analyze and study the impact of a group of demographic factors on both “a sense of environmental responsibility” and “green consumption”, and to determine which are more influential, and to achieve the objectives of the study, a descriptive analytical approach was used. Building two measures represented in the environmental sense of responsibility scale and the green consumer behavior scale, the study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: the existence of a positive relationship between the level of environmental responsibility and green consumer behavior. Official and informal faculty to support the concept of environmental responsibility among students and all employees and to instill green environmental behavior practices.
Researchers also extend their appreciation to those who contributed to the completion of the research, foremost the gentlemen in charge of the Deanship of Scientific Research at Taif University, headed by the President of the University and the Dean and the Agents of Scientific Research at the University for their facilitation, funding and completion of research No. (103-441-1) entitled A sense of environmental responsibility among Taif University students and its relationship to their green consumption behavior.
