Abstract

The research aims to study the extent of female heads of households' awareness of environmental responsibility with its axes and its relationship to green consumer behavior with its dimensions, and the research followed the descriptive and analytical approach. Several tools were used: the general data form, the environmentally friendly product awareness form, the environmental responsibility awareness questionnaire, the green consumer behavior questionnaire. The sample included 290 female heads of household from Menoufia and Qalyoubia governorates,. After collecting the data, it was unpacked, categorized, tabulated, and statistically analyzed using the SPSS program.
The results showed a positive statistically significant correlation between female heads of households' awareness of environmental responsibility in their axes and green consumption behavior for them with its dimensions at a significance level of 0.01, and the total awareness of environmental responsibility and environmental knowledge explains 52% of the variance in the total green consumption behavior and 46% for green consumer practices. And 26% for recycling and waste disposal. Behavioral aspects and overall awareness of environmental responsibility explain 36% of the variance in green purchasing. Older female heads of household are better at keeping green consumer behavior off. Female heads of households are better at completely green consumer behavior and its dimensions (green consumption practices - recycling and waste disposal) and awareness of environmental responsibility
Therefore, science colleges are recommended to conduct more experiments to extract cleansers and disinfectants that are environmentally friendly and inexpensive and can be manufactured and traded commercially.
