Abstract

It can be seen that the increasing interest of specialists in using semiotics in the fields of human communication, and this study aims to explore the most appropriate term for semiotics that can be used in the field of digital design, and to know the possibility of using semiotics in the field of Arab digital design, and the difficulties facing the use of semiotics in modern Arab digital design. The triangulation method has been used in the study within three methodologies: historical, content analysis and inductive. One of the most important results of this study is that the appropriate term that can be used is "semiotics" due to its linguistic and semantic connection. The results also showed that semiotics can be used in the field of Arabic digital design more effectively. This study also showed that there are difficulties associated with the novelty of the experiment and the lack of specialists who can link semiotics with Arabic digital design. This study suggested a number of recommendations.
