Abstract

The study aimed to identify the frames of news treatment of the issue of illegal immigration in the satellite news channels.This study is a descriptive study. This study is considered from descriptive studies. The researcher also used the method of media survey by applying a content analysis tool to a sample of three news channels: (Nile News Channel - Al-Arabiya Al-Hadath - BBC Arabic) Using the method of comprehensive inventory of all bulletins during the day and on a daily basis for a period of (6) months, and the study concluded with a set of results, the most important of which are: News channels used various frameworks in presenting news in channel bulletins. Study sample on the issue of illegal immigration between humanitarian frameworks and international statements A legal and political framework, while the humanitarian framework was at the forefront of the Arab news channels, the Nile and the Arab al-Hadath, while the legal framework came at the forefront of the frameworks for the BBC Arabic news channel. There are statistically significant differences between the Arab and Arabic-speaking satellite news channels - the study sample - in the use of News frames in the news that dealt with the issue of illegal immigration. The existence of statistically significant differences between the Arab satellite channels and the Arabic-speaking sample of the study in the objectives of presenting news related to the issue of illegal immigration.
