Abstract

The study seeks to link the ancient art and the modern art by making use of ancient Egyptian art, the concepts and the methods of Cubism to enrich students' designs. Through his teaching to the students, the researcher observed that many students transferred artistic works without thinking and the absence of an artistic personality for them. The researcher worked to link the ancient Egyptian art with Cubism in a way that leads to change their concepts and increase their artistic thinking. Because dealing with one art school, students sought in most cases to transfer from the works of artists. So, the researcher conducted a pre- and post-experiment; in the pre-experiment, he asked the students to implement a design in the forms of ancient Egyptian art. In the post-experiment, and after presenting the stages and methods of cubic art to the students, and how to link these styles with the ancient Egyptian art forms, the students produced immovable designs. They tried to analyze these shapes according to the Cubist School.
