Children's attitudes towards the recruitment of superstitious elements in the story channels on YouTube

Abstract

The study aimed to monitor children's attitudes towards superstitious elements provided by children's story channels on YouTube, to monitor the superstitious elements used in stories, and to learn how to employ superstitious elements.
The study belongs to descriptive studies, and was based on the descriptive analytical approach, through a sample of stories presented on YouTube channels of (50) stories, and the sample of the field study consisted of (200) parents of children (5-8) years old.
Some of the most important findings of the study include:
-The variety of superstitious elements employed in the sample stories of the study, whether to support the forces of good or the forces of evil.
-The absence of educational controls and standards in some stories sample, which calls for a review of what is presented through it, because its purpose is not only entertainment, but also for educational aims at the same time.
-High child preference for the study sample for fairy tales.
-The relatively high weight of children's attitudes towards the employment of superstitious elements in the sample stories of the study.
