Family security and its relationship to school bullying in middle school students

Abstract

The research aims to study the relationship between family security in its dimensions and school bullying in middle school studentsو The sample of the study consisted of (250) middle school students,lived in the urban areas of Qalyubia, Benha Center, and the research tools consisted of the general data form for students and their families, the family security questionnaire in its four dimensions, the school bullying questionnaire in its four axes, and the study followed the descriptive and analytical approach ,One of the most important results of the study was the presence of a negative correlation between the family security questionnaire in its four dimensions and the school bullying questionnaire with its four axes, the existence of statistically significant differences between male and female middle school students in both (psychological security and total family security) in favor of females, and the presence of statistically significant differences at the level among middle school students, males and females, in the school bullying questionnaire with its four axes in favor of males, and there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of middle school students from rural and urban areas in family security in its four dimensions in favor of middle school students from the countryside, and a statistically significant variance among middle school students in the study sample in the dimension of economic security and total family security according to the levels of the monthly income of the family in favor of the high level of income,
