Efficient sewing performance for Artificial leather used in the manufacture of ready-made clothes

Abstract

The research aims to study the natural and mechanical properties of the types of artificial skin under study, as three types of artificial leather used in the manufacture of ready-made garments of different weights were selected, and to determine the best needle size that fits with the types of artificial skin under study where (14, 16, gauge needle 18), as well as determining the best stitch density per centimeter (3 stitches / cm, 4 stitches / cm, 5 stitches / cm) that are compatible with the simple sewing joint SSA-1 and achieve the best performance and the results were that the third type of artificial leather achieved the highest knitting performance efficiency which is 75.71 The density of (5 stitches / cm) + a needle of size 14, and the lowest type is the second, which achieved 28% for the density of (3 stitches / cm) + a needle of size 14 and also achieved the highest efficiency of knitting performance which is 66.67% for density (5 stitches / cm) + needle size 16, The lowest type is the second, which achieved 40% for the density of (3 stitches / cm) + a 16-inch needle. The third type of synthetic leather also achieved the highest knitting performance efficiency, which is 67.25% for the density of (3 stitches / cm) + a size 18 needle, and the lowest type is the first, which achieved 36.51 % Density (3 stitches / cm) + 18 gauge needle.
