Abstract

Abstract: The research aims to study the basic requirements for fabrics to prevent infection of bed sores and to identify the most important problems facing patients and health care staff accompanying them. Possibility of improving their functional properties for give them protection. Thus, (3) types of 100% cotton fabrics were produced with 33D, with composition of Honey-comb weaving and (3) weft densities (18, 20, 22) weft / cm. Some preliminary preparations were made on the produced fabrics and treated against bacteria using chitosan loaded with Nano metric silver particles. Then, some laboratory tests were conducted that (3) number of samples consisting of (3) layers (a lower layer and an upper layer of produced fabrics, and a middle layer of non-filling (Microfiber soft) woven thickness is "30, 60, 90"/mm “in order to evaluate the properties (weight, thickness, tensile strength, elongation, water permeability, air permeability, thermal insulation, softness, resistance to bacteria”,The results were analyzed statistically to study the effect of study variables on the functional properties of the produced fabrics, and results showed that (9) number of sample of the 3D Honey-comb fabric produced with specifications (22 weft / cm, and microfiber layer is 90 mm thick a non-woven wadding fabric with a thickness of 90 mm) is the ideal sample for most of the measured properties to prevent from Infection with bed sores, as these fabrics are healthy and environmentally safe and can be used in manufacture and production of bed sore prevention pillows.
