Application of McCarthy Model (4 MAT) to development of Electronic Portfolio file skills for approach of student teachers, major of home economics

Abstract

This research aims at application of 4 MAT Model to development of the skills of designing Electronic Portfolio model and approach of it in the student teachers, major of home economics. To achieve the purposes of the research, list of skills necessary for design and creation of electronic achievement file and building training content was defined to apply McCarthy (4MAT) Model to develop the electronic file skills. Research tools included (achievement test- achievement file scorecard- scale of approach to Electronic Portfolio file). Sample of the research was (26 student teachers) of the third-year students, Faculty of Home Economics, Helwan University. Results of the research showed that there are statistically significant difference between the average scores of pre and post applications of achievement test related to the skills of design of Electronic Portfolio file design in student teachers, Major of Home Economics, in favor of post application, and that there are statistically significant differences between the average scores of pre and post application of the Electronic Portfolio file design skills scorecard in the student teacher, Major of Home Economics, in favor of post application
