Abstract

This study aimed to identify the history of the studies template as well as to identify the author's style, Jan Brandts Buyes, in his formulation of the studies template for the piano instrument Classified 13, and to identify the technical and expressive playing difficulties that the research sample includes and how to overcome them through the musical instructions and exercises proposed by the researcher.
In order to reach the results of this study, the history of the studies template was studied as a musical composer, as well as the technical characteristics of the melodic formulation in the author of modern studies classified 13 by Jan Brandts Buyes, as Jan Buyes’s studies depended on the use of simple formulas as well as the use of rhythmic interviews 3 versus 2, as well as the use of simple scales, The intensity of performance within the studies also varied between performing quietly and subduing and performing with a gradient of intensity. The researcher identified and reviewed the most important technical difficulties and problems and identified the proposed musical instructions and exercises to overcome those difficulties and facilitate their performance and training in order to reach their performance in a sound technical performance.
Jan Brandts Buys (1868 - 1933) was considered one of the most active and prominent composers of his time, as his music was one of the distinctive forms of music that was presented in public and private concerts in the period of the Romantic era.
