The impact of enrichment activities on home economics based on experiential learning for future vocations to enhance entrepreneurial alertness and form the professional identity of students in community education schools

Abstract

The current research aims to identify how to design enrichment activities in home economics based on experiential learning for vocations of the future and measure their effectiveness in enhancing entrepreneurial alertness and forming professional identity among community education school students. The research was based on the experimental design of two groups. One is experimental and the other is control. The experimental group consisted of (36) students, and the control group consisted of (34) students. The research tools included (the Entrepreneurial Alertness test, the professional identity scale), and the educational materials included (the proposed enrichment activities guide, the student’s handbook). The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average performance scores of the pupils in the experimental and control group in the post application of the two research tools in favor of the experimental group, as well as the presence of a statistically significant difference at the level of significance (0.05) between the average performance scores of the students in the experimental group in the two applications. The research recommended the necessity to provide educational institutions with a framework for the necessary skills and support for vocations of the future when preparing their various programs and curricula,
