The effectiveness of knowledge management based-program to develop the values of digital citizenship among adolescents in light of the contemporary challenges

Abstract

This research aims to prepare, implement, and assess a guide program based on knowledge management to develop the values of digital citizenship among the adolescent in light of contemporary challenges. The basic study sample consisted of (210) adolescents aged (12-17) years at the preparatory and secondary stages, and enrolled at the governmental, experimental and private schools. The experimental study sample consisted of (53) male and female adolescents who represent the lower portion of the basic sample. The research instruments included a general data form, a knowledge management questionnaire, a digital citizenship values questionnaire, a contemporary challenges questionnaire, and a knowledge management program to develop the digital citizenship values among the adolescents in light of the contemporary challenges .The research utilized the descriptive, analytical, and experimental methodology.
The results showed that there is a statistically significant difference between the male and female adolescents in the "research sample" regarding their ability to manage knowledge as a whole .
The results also showed that there is a statistically significant difference between male and female adolescent in the "research sample" regarding the level of awareness of the values of digital citizenship according to the research variables.
Finally, the results showed that there are statistically significant differences at (0.01) level of significance between the scores of the experimental research sample in developing the ability to manage knowledge, develop the digital citizenship values, and develop awareness of contemporary challenges before and after the implementation of the program in favor of the post application
