The Effect of Using Augmented Reality Technology "Smart Cards" on Fashion Figure Drawing Skill in Different Poses and Attitudes of Clothing and Textile Department Students

Abstract

The study aimed at identifying the effectiveness of using the augmented reality technology "Smart Cards" on the skill of drawing fashion figure (Female - male - children) in different poses, using the latest drawing tools, which is "Dr. Hagag Fashion Figure Rulers", In addition to studying the attitudes of clothing and textile department students to use this technology, and to achieve the study’s goals, the researcher used the quasi-experimental approach, The sample of the study was(150)students, Second year, Clothing and Textiles Department, Faculty of Home Economics, Menoufia University, and the tests were applied within the anatomy course in the first semester of the academic year 2018-2019, These students were assigned in to two groups, the experimental group of(77)students who were taught by using the augmented reality technology "smart cards", and the control group of(73)students, were taught by using traditional methods. The researcher prepared a set of tools and study materials, which are represented in a skill test for drawing fashion figure (Female - male - children) in different poses using "Dr. Hagag Fashion Figure Rulers", direction instrument consisted of(20)clauses, designing the content of “Smart Cards”, In addition to using notes cards before during and after the experiment. The study used statistical methods for data analysis, and found that there was statistically significance difference at (α≤0.01) between the mean scores of students of the experimental and control groups in the post-skill test for drawing fashion figure in different poses after setting the pre-test for the benefit of the experimental group.
