Abstract

Abstract
This research aimed to explore the attitudes of university youth towards using new media, and used ‎descriptive approach, the research used “attitudes of university youth towards using new media scale”, on purposive sample included (300) of third and fourth year of educational media department at faculty of specific education at Minia university.
The research concluded several results, included: There is no statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0,05) among research sample in content production through new media according to the gender variable (male / female), there is a statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0,05) among research sample in new media use according to the residence variable (rural / urban), there is a statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0,05) between the mean of scores of the research sample in the scale of university youth attitudes towards using new media according to the residence variable (rural / urban), and there is no statistically significant difference at the level of ≤ (0 , 05) between the mean of scores of research sample in the scale of university youth attitudes towards using new media according to the gender variable (male / female).
