The Impact of the Use of Reciprocal Teaching in the Achievement among Vocational Education Students (Agricultural Section) in King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein Comprehensive Secondary School for Boys

Abstract

The current study aimed to measuring the impact of the use of reciprocal teaching in the achievement among vocational education students (first secondary grade agricultural) in King Abdullah II Ibn Al-Hussein comprehensive secondary school for boys. To achieve the objective of the study, the researcher used the experimental approach, and the study used the achievement test to measure the impact of reciprocal teaching on student achievement. The sample of the study consisted of (60) vocational education students (agricultural section) in King Abdullah II school, the sample was divided into two groups; the experimental group consisted of (30) students, and the control group consisted of (30) students. The results of the study showed that there were statistically significant differences at (α ≤ 0.05) between the mean degrees of the experimental group in the post-test and the mean degrees of the control group students, in favor of the experimental group.
The researcher recommended the use of the reciprocal strategy in the education of students to raise students' achievement by teachers, supervisors and students to achieve many of the desired educational objectives, encourage teachers in all sections of vocational education particularly and public education generally to participate in the production of units built using modern strategies, including reciprocal teaching, and work on renewing the class environment to achieve the desired educational objectives, in addition to the training of teachers and qualify them through educational bulletins and training courses, to enlighten them how to employ the use of reciprocal teaching in the education of students.
