These Trends in the Field of Home Economics Education at Faculty of Home Economics Menoufia University : Analytical Study and Future Vision

The aim of the research is to monitor and determine the trends of master and doctoral theses of Home Economics and Education Department in the light of thirteen research indicators proposed by the researcher, In addition to suggestion the most important future research trends that should be addressed by theses in the field of home economics education. The research community included all theses that were awarded the degree from the department during the period from 1995 to 2018.The total number(172)Thesis. The researcher prepared the "Content Analysis Card" to analyze the content of each thesis and collect data on specific indicators and calculation of frequencies and relative weight for each indicator to study the trends, the indicators include: degree, time distribution, independent variables, dependent variables, dependent variables number, methodology, tools, the preparer of tools , educational field, samples or categories, integration between educational field and other fields, type of study, gender of researcher. The following important analytical results: the increase of master thesis number compared to the PhD, (2009) (2011) and the period of time (2007-2012) the highest in the total number of theses, independent variables related to teaching and learning home economics the most commonly used, dependent variables related to emotional aspects the most used, theses using two dependent variables are the most numerous,  application of semi - experimental approach in the largest percentage of theses, tools used to measure emotional aspects are the most applied and the "students attitude scale towards the material" is the highest frequency, "teaching methods" the largest educational field, middle school students are the most used categories, "Clothing and textile " the most common field used and the "religious education" the only academic field used, increasing applied studies, low proportion of male researchers compared to females, the researcher presented a vision of the most important future research trends for theses of department.
