The Administrative and Productive Efficiency and its Relationship to Economic Empowerment of Rural Women in the Light of Sustainable Development Practices

Abstract

The main objective of the research is to study the relationship between rural women's awareness of administrative and productive efficiency and its relationship to their economic empowerment in the light of sustainable development practices. The research followed the descriptive analytical approach. The research tools included the general data form - the questionnaire of the administrative efficiency of rural women in its aspects (planning- implementation- evaluation) - the questionnaire of the productive efficiency of rural women (desire to work - ability to work - innovation in work)- questionnaire of economic empowerment of rural women in its aspects (proper spending - the ability to produce goods- product marketing - waste recycling). After the standardization of the research tools, they were applied to (200) rural women in Menoufia Governorate, using the SPSS programme and following the statistical treatments to find the mean, standard deviation, T test, F test, LSD and simple correlation coefficient (R). One of the most important results of the research was the presence of a relationship between the rural women's awareness of administrative efficiency in its aspects and productive efficiency in its aspects and economic empowerment in its aspects. It is also found that there is a statistically significant relationship between age and administrative efficiency aspects, administrative efficiency aspects and economic empowerment aspects. There is a correlation statistically significant  between educational level and administrative efficiency aspects, administrative efficiency aspects and economic empowerment aspects. There are differences in the awareness levels of the research sample in administrative efficiency in its aspects, and production efficiency in its aspects and economic empowerment in its aspects according to work in favour of the women workers. The main recommendations included: providing adequate financing for small and productive projects and giving loans and facilitating their procedures for rural women. Conducting training courses and workshops for the rural women on the preparation of economic feasibility studies for small productive projects, the implementation and management of these projects, training them on marketing methods and offering them technical and financial assistance to develop women's projects by specialists in the management of family and childhood institutions in order to promote the economic empowerment of women. Surveys and questionnaires can also be conducted on the most important problems facing rural women which hinder them from fulfilling their developmental role, finding solutions to these problems and presenting them to the supporting authorities of women.
