Management of financial income and its relationship with the problems of the elderly under the current economic conditions

Abstract

The research aimed to study the relationship between the financial income management for the elderly after retirement age through its axes (setting objectives, planning, implementation and evaluation) and the problems of the elderly through its axes (economic, social, physical, psychological and religious), to identify the differences between elderly males and females and to identify the nature of the disparity amid the study sample according to the elderly educational level and the monthly income of the family.
The researcher used the research tools: which consisted of the general preliminary data form for the Elderly, the financial income management questionnaire for the Elderly, the problems of the elderly questionnaire, they were applied to a sample of 300 elderly people who were selected in a coincidental way from the governorates of Minufiya and Gharbia from different social and economic levels.
The results of the study included: There is a statistically significant correlation between financial income management and the problems of the elderly as they recognize at the level of 0.001, and there are statistically significant differences in the management of financial income and the problems of the elderly according to gender at the level of 0.01 for the benefit of males, while there are no statistically significant differences in financial income management and problems of the elderly according to the place of residence, there is also no statistically significant disparity in the management of financial income and the problems of the elderly according to the monthly income, while there is a statistically significant disparity in the management of the financial income and the problems of the elderly according to the level of education at the level of 0.001 for the benefit of the illiterate, there is also a statistically significant disparity in the management of financial income and the problems of the elderly according to social status at the level of 0.001 for the benefit of married people in the management of financial income and for the benefit of the single in the problems of the elderly.
The researcher recommends: The State must provide health and entertainment services and Hajj and Umrah trips at nominal prices to provide a better life for the elderly after retirement from work and getting low income.
