Proposal to Develop the field of Home Management in Home Economics in the light of The Quality Standards

Abstract

Research aims to Develop a proposal to develop the content of the field of home management decisions of the home economy of the second phase of basic education in light of quality standards
Research Methodology: The research followed the descriptive analytical method
Research Tools: The research tools included (a preliminary data form for the teachers and mentors, a questionnaire on the obstacles facing the teachers and mentors of the household economy subject in its four axes, the contents of the house management field in the home economics decisions of the second stage of basic education, (National Quality Assurance Authority for Accreditation in Egypt, 2009), a content analysis form to monitor the availability or lack of quality standards and indicators in the content of the home management area Domestic economy for the second stage of basic education.
Human eye for research: (150) of the parameters and guides of the household economy. The sample was randomly selected from the workers in public schools and Azhar institutes for the second stage of basic education (preparatory stage) in Menoufia governorate.
Sample Courses: - (39) studied the field of home management decisions of the home economy for the second phase of basic education.
The most important search results
1-      The results of the courses in the field of home management: -  The field includes (17) criteria, (80) indicators, available in the lessons 18 indicators (22.5%), 18 indicators available to a certain extent (22.5%), and 44 indicators is unavailable (55%) of the total indicators, and these percentages indicate that there is a large deficiency in the curriculum needs to develop to comply with quality standards.
-      -A proposed scenario for the development of home management courses for the subject of home economics for the second stage of basic education in the light of the criteria and indicators of the standard levels of quality.

Main Recommendations:
-      Based on the results of this research, the researcher recommends the following recommendations:
-      Work on developing quality standards that are measured by the study subjects and linking them to the development in the society and developing the home economics curricula for all levels of study according to quality standards.
-      Provide textbooks and help books to increase learning resources, and diversity in the use of teaching methods.
-      Continuing training courses for teachers and mentors for professional development and improvement of school performance.
-      Preparation of workshops and programs to develop the material and activating activities within schools, such as activating the productive girls' programs and strengthening them materially and marketing, providing the material resources, tools and devices necessary for each school to carry out activities related to the material of home economics
