The Relationship between the Motives for the Use of Deaf People and the Use of Social Networking Sites

Abstract

   The present study seeks to identify the relationship between the motives of the use of deaf people to social networking sites and the intensity of their use. It also aims to find out the relationship between the rate of their use of social media sites and the intensity of their use. Therefore, the researcher used the descriptive approach, where the data was collected by a questionnaire that was applied in the period from 1/2/2018 until 1/3/2018 45 ) on a sample of ) students deaf and hearing impaired and the study reached:
- There is a strong correlation between the motives of their use of social networking sites and the intensity of their use
- There is a relationship between the rate of use of social networking sites, the more intensive use of them, the more time they spend in tracking the content of the reality of social communication
The most frequently used Facebook site, favored by the deaf-
-Deaf search sample search social networking sites by more than three hours a day.
