The Effectiveness of e - Book in Acquiring Third Grade Pupils with Programming Skills

Abstract

This study aims to earn Programming Skills to the students of third grade in Kassem Amin Prep. School at Abo Korkas in the academic year (2016/ 2017) via designing and producing an E-book. To achieve the study objectives, the researcher used the Quasi-Experimental Approach to measure the impact of the independent variable on the dependent variable, and the Descriptive Approach to review the related studies. The Sample of the Study consisted of (70) Student, divided into two groups, the Experimental Group studied with the E-book, and the Control Group studied with the Printed Book. The Research Tools were (A Cognitive Test of Programming Skills – A Performance Test of Programming Skills – An Output Evaluation Card of producing a "Digital Hour" Project). The Researcher designed and produced an E-book, and applied the Pre-and Post-Measurements Tools on the Sample of the Study. The Study Results confirmed the Effectiveness of the E-book – (Prepared by the Researcher) – on the Cognitive Acquisition of Programming Skills, and Skills Execution of Programming Skills of the Sample of the Study.
