E- Support type in the Mobile Learning Environment and Relationship of Knowledge Management Skills for Instructional Technology Specialists

Abstract

The objective of the research is to reveal the relationship between the (individual /social) electronic support types in the mobile learning environment in the development of knowledge management skills (knowledge acquisition, knowledge storage, knowledge exchange, application of knowledge) among Instructional Technology specialists. The research group was selected randomly from the specialist of education technology in the Department of West Fayoum (60) specialists, The first group used the mobile learning environment according to the individual support pattern, the second group used the mobile learning environment according to the type of social support pattern through treatments that dealt with content related to the contents of "educational technology innovations and their employment in the educational process". The research followed the semi-experimental approach to investigate the relationship of the independent variable to the electronic support model (individual/social) in the dependent variable of knowledge management skills.  The measurement tool was a test that measured the level of performance of the learning technology specialist in the two groups in their acquisition of knowledge management skills. The experimental treatment was the design of the electronic learning environment of the (individual/ social) pattern in the mobile environment in the development of the knowledge management skills among educational technology specialists. The results indicated that there was a statistically significant effect of the (individual / social) support pattern in the mobile environment in the development of the knowledge management skills among educational technology specialists in general. The results indicated that there were statistically significant differences between the (individual /social) pattern in favor of the social pattern in the mobile environment in developing the knowledge management skills among educational technology specialists
